Our Story

Born on the Gulf Coast, Half Shell Spirits began as a family-run craft distillery—founded by two brother-in-laws who saw a need for change. What started as a small-batch vodka project quickly grew into a mission-driven brand rooted in sustainability, transparency, and exceptional taste.

Our name, Half Shell, honors the oyster farming traditions of our region and reflects our commitment to purpose-driven craftsmanship. We use a unique, natural filtration process that filters each spirit—vodka, gin, and rum—through non-allergenic oyster shells. This eco-conscious method enhances smoothness and flavor, while connecting each bottle back to the waters that inspired it.

We're proud to be the first U.S. spirits brand to package in a fully recycled paperboard bottle, drastically reducing waste and redefining what it means to sip sustainably. With every pour, Half Shell invites you to raise a glass to something greater: innovation, heritage, and environmental stewardship—all in one bottle.

Giving Back

At Half Shell Spirits, we're passionate about supporting sustainability and conservation efforts nationwide. Through our Sip for Sustainability program, we partner with like-minded organizations to donate a portion of our proceeds to nonprofits focused on protecting our planet.
